oh my - foucault's pendulum! i'm looking forward to your review of that!

i have 'the history of love' - i couldn't get past the first few chapters. then i tried it on cd - it got worse. hopefully you'll get through it and come out with a review, too. :) can't wait!!
i actually "loved" the history of love. chris, it gets better, maybe give it another chance?
lan, your "light" reading is my heavy reading. haha! i have only read one jon krakauer book (you know, the one everybody reads). i am envious of having all that leisure time to read! oh, but please find time to also enjoy your travels too. ;)
oh...none of this is light reading, for sure. but light reading doesn't really last on long travels...and since I'm more relaxed while traveling, I have more attention span to dedicate to the heavy books. Believe me--I considered tackling War & Peace yesterday.
If you purchased an e-reader, you could store a lot of books with a tiny amount of weight....

i read the 'pendulum' for 6 or 7 times now. one of my favorites, ever. did you finish it? i like dostoevsky's books too, btw (i prefer franz kafka though).

oh, and i'd like to add you to my friends list, ok? we have many friends in common... =)
